Ok guys and gals, the other thread I just started the ‘News in the Shadows’ thread is going to be a fairly constantly updated thread with the various headlines and basic shadow related info your chars would find out about during the week, either on news nets, shadowland bbs, or word of mouth from their chummers.
I’m going to ask that you try to check here Friday or Saturday each week, basically to keep yourself (and your character up to date on going on’s). If you don’t check, then your character is not keeping up on the news so you may have to rely on word of mouth from the rest of the group.
I’ll use this as the thread for the out of character info/talk as we go thru the game. So check back here often.

Just wanted to say thank you to Scott, the links he put into the news artical should help out a bit for those who dont know specifics. Thank you Scott, and you’ll have to show me how to do that 🙂
Btw, if any of you know any out of char info that is not being included, there is probably a good reason for it so PLEASE don’t say anything 🙂 Ruins the suprise for those who don’t know already.
I would post more often if I wasn’t so computer illiterate! It ALWAYS takes me 5 to 10 minutes to figure out how to post and by that time I’m either out of the mood or have forgotten what I was going to say or can’t remember what I was going to comment on.
My out of character information has no useful purpose. And I still want a Barret 121! Barring that I want Lone Star armor, and as far as politicians go I say, “Frag ’em all!” (Not the dragon of course)

Kev- Since you’re planning on running the archetypes, I noticed a little problem. The money for the archetypes is spent only on cyberware, unless their equipment is summarized elsewhere. I suspect it must be, since the character generation program has them equipped.
Long question short: Do you have the info? Do you want me to print out the characters from the program? If so, which characters?
Sheesh, it always takes me 5-20 tries to log in here, for the one shot i’m taking the ‘book’ chars and moding them a little bit, including some on the base gear and a little tweaking of spells, so i’ll have that covered. Have I ever mentioned before that I HATE book provided chars?
I always wonder what the HELL they were smoking to put them together like they did.

Ok, first things first, after the run last night, how do you guys/gal feel about playing, are you interested? I ask because I got the feeling people may not have been all that wow’d by it last night.
Tricia will NOT be joining us for this one, she was giving it a chance last night to see if she could handle all the funky number juggling and it is more then she wants to deal with, so she will sit this out if we do play. So please be honest with me, if you dont want to do this, sound off, It will NOT hurt my feelings, and i’d rather not push someone into something they wont have fun with.
Thanks for being so thoughtfull Kevin. I have the feeling that the session worked better as a system shakedown (to find the weakpoints in our understandings, to illustrate the changed rules, and the like), but it didn’t work to hook the people who were looking for a feel for the universe.
I suspect we’ll talk and talk and see where everyone is.
