Fred linked off to a great site, where they are discussing their playtesting experience with the Dresden Files game. It sounds like it’s solid– they had a lot of data and thorough system backing, which makes me think that the GM is going to have lots of guidelines and rules to help out.
An overview of the RPG books is here.

As I happen to love the Dresden book series, an RPG makes me warm and fuzzy. While it is a shame that I no longer have cool enough friends to RPG with, my having found a fiance (even though she doesn’t game at all) more than makes up for this omission in my life.
🙂
It was interesting to see (a) that you could play a “good guy” vampire and (b) that they have specific rules in the RPG (I gathered this reading the article linked) that make your PC and NPC if you ever go over to “the Dark Side.”
I’m in the process of corrupting… er I mean converting my wife into a role playing gamer.
It can be done, if one is very patient. 🙂
