Next Game: Friday, July 7th

(Well, Next Game: Friday, June 30th has become Next Game: Friday, July 7th. No other changes necessary.)

Having dealt with a nasty “rebel pirate” attack, it looks like our liner’s on course to hit the station next session. With our good friend, the administrator’s nephew, we’ll enjoy a little light gambling on station… and maybe figure out a good plan for taking the place for the rebellion. (As ever, I’ll update the log during the week, unless you beat me to it.)

Next Game: June 17th

I’m looking forward to continuing our the adventures of our Star Wars group in two weeks. We should be able to string together a couple of games in a row.

If you have any problem with resuming on the 17th. let us know!

Next Game: Friday June 2nd

UPDATE: After miscommunication, the session was canceled.

Maybe. We’ll need to make sure Dad thinks he can make it, since he’ll be headed up to Kristen’s graduation from CSUS the next morning way too early. In comments, please indicate which weekends you’re free to game. For now, Jim, Scott, and Jen are big drags this month.

May 26th: Unavailable
June 2nd: Good (Dad’s off to Kristen’s graduation the next day, but he’s sucking it up. Yay game!)
June 9th: Unavailable [Dad’s off to Eric’s]
June 16th: Good [though we’re off to Chris and Holly’s wedding the next morning]
June 23rd: Good [so far…]

The campaign log has session five sketched in. Expand on whatever interests you.

Next Game: Friday May 19th

Jennifer and I will be out of town exploring baseball and other things San Fransisco-y. I’m looking forward to returning to our Star Wars game afterwards. I’ll try and update the New Republic Agents pages with the second half of our third session and session four. If you get there first, that’s great.

Hope your week’s a good one!

Ranking your favorite campaigns

Strangely, I seem to be contrary to the trend on this Treasure Tables post, where the favorite campaigns are the eldest. I suspect that’s because many of them had obvious flaws… like the high school “split but we’ll ignore it and play together” group.

1. Mage: The Ascension (GM, mid/late 20s) To Sway the Stones
2. Mage: The Ascension [player, mid 20s]. Chris’s Beyond the Portal
> D&D3.5: The current Dragon’s Talons game [player, early 30s]
3. AD&D [player, mid/late 20s] Skellwoods Campaign
4. AD&D [player, college] World-spanning, w/ Sython
5. Mage 1st [GM, college]: Ender Peskins and friends
6. D&D 3.0 [player, late 20s]. Strife and Pride.
7. Vampire 2nd [player, mid 20s]. Will’s Fresno Chronicles
8. Shadowrun [player, 30]: Graal
9. AD&D [GM, High School]: My first long, successful game
10. Battletech (player, High School). “Kizmaz” and the Ogre

Next Game: Friday May 5th

Jennifer and I are off to Salt Lake City, so I can meet her mom. If you know any prayers… More seriously, we’ll miss this week, but I’m looking forward to resuming the first Friday in May.

I’ll eventually add to the log on the wiki, but if you’d like to get there first, please do. If there’s anything else, let us know.

Way off topic: we now have a tiny kitten. Max was a little reluctant at first [there was much hissing], but they’ve calmed greatly. Though the little kitten seems fascinated by Max’s twitching tail– which can’t bode well. Anyway, I’m looking forward to gaming again soon.
